Rabbit Mountain
The kids and I hiked at Rabbit Mountain today. It was a really good time, so I thought I'd share some of the fun here. The turn off for Rabbit Mountain is just east of Lyons, on Colorado 66.
There is a restroom and picnic area at the trailhead. The trails are multi-use, so watch out for mountain bikers and horses on the trails.
There are three trails that all branch off from the main short trail, totaling about six miles. There are lots of fun rock outcroppings that me and the kids had fun exploring.
Here's Blaine trudging up the trail.
...and Maggie always wants her picture taken, too.

Maggie made it to the Little Thompson River Overlook.
So if you are looking for a family friendly hike, that's quick and easy to get to, Rabbit Mountain would make a good one!
